Ms. Léa Simon

Project Coordinator, SURGhub (based at UNITAR)

Léa Simon is a Project Coordinator at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), working in close collaboration with the Global Surgery Foundation (GSF). She is in charge of coordinating SURGhub - the United Nations Global Surgery Learning Hub. 

Prior to joining UNITAR and the GSF, Ms. Simon worked at the Fédération des acteurs de la solidarité (French Federation of aid organizations). As a Project Officer, she coordinated the SEVE Emploi programme on a national scale, ensuring quality training for 600+ social workers each year. She managed the programme’s e-learning platform and provided in-person training to 15 social workers.

Ms. Simon holds a Master’s in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po (France), with specializations in Gender Studies, Migrations and Middle-Eastern Studies.
