SURGhub Celebrates 20,000 Learners and Two Years of Impact
In just two years, SURGhub has grown into a leading platform for global surgical education—now serving over 20,000 healthcare workers around the world.
SURGhub celebrates 20,000 registered learners just two years after launch—marking a major milestone in global surgical education.
A Major Milestone in Surgical Training
Launched in June 2023, SURGhub was built to make high-quality surgical training accessible to every healthcare professional - no matter where they live or work. Today, it stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, digital learning, and a shared mission for equity in surgical care.
This month, we’re celebrating a major milestone:
20,000+ learners from over 190 countries.
Two Years of Growth and Impact
In just 24 months, SURGhub has:
Delivered 122 courses across a wide range of surgical and perioperative topics
Partnered with 28 content collaborators, including leading universities, professional societies, and NGOs
Reached healthcare workers in 190+ countries, with a strong footprint in low- and middle-income and conflict settings
Built a global community of 130+ expert advisors
Delivered over 8,500 learning certificates to healthcare workers
Earned recognition as an award-winning platform at the THE Awards 2024
SURGhub’s learners include perioperative nurses, general and trauma surgeons, anesthetists, medical officers, and many more—most of them working in low-resource or conflict-affected settings. All of them are united by one goal: to strengthen surgical care, where it’s needed most.
SURGhub celebrates two years of impact—now reaching over 20,000 learners across 190+ countries, with 122 courses, 28 content partners, and a global network of 130+ advisors.
What’s Next?
With dozens of new courses in development, expanded partnerships underway, and continuous platform improvements, SURGhub is only just getting started.
We thank all our partners, content contributors, donors, and—most of all—our learners for making this journey possible.
